TERMS OF SERVICE

We’re absolutely thrilled you’ve picked us. Whilst a "gentleman's agreement" broadly speaking covers most things, we’re conscious that it's best practice to get stuff in writing so that we're all on exactly the same page with no confusion. Quite apart from anything else, it does help to avoid arguments. 

So, with that in mind, here's a bunch of stuff we copied off the internet and then twiddled about for our own ends. You look pretty sensible anyway so I’m sure this will go super smoothly.

ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE
Everyone accidentally breaks stuff from time to time. No biggie. We really do try to absorb this cost wherever we can however because we understand that accidents happen and getting charged for breaking other people's stuff sucks. Obviously though, we can’t afford to cover the cost of people being careless or stuff breaking on a regular basis and we also need to protect ourselves from fraud. With that in mind, in the event of total loss, damage so severe it requires a replacement to be purchased or we need to pay for a camera to be repaired, you agree to cover the cost. This can be charged to the card you used to pay for the booking, or settled separately if you prefer.  (Wear and tear is a normal part of life so don’t worry about the odd minor scratch or scuff.)

EQUIPMENT LOSS OR THEFT
If you’re unable to return your rental to us because you “don’t have it any more”, you agree to replace what you lost. Sorry. Fair though, right?

DELIVERY
Your booking is for the day of your event but your hire window lasts for 7 days because we appreciate things will be a bit hectic for you - plus you might want to have a little play before or after. We'll aim to get your order to you a few days before your booking date and your 7 days starts from delivery. Obviously we fully expect stuff to reach you in full working order and pristine condition. It will certainly leave us that way, but we all know life can get rough if you’re a parcel. This is completely outside our control and we can’t be held responsible. If anything arrives in less than stellar condition, contact us THE SAME DAY. Late damage reports may be considered damage during use, not damage during delivery. To be clear; we’re not in control of what happens to your order once it leaves us. Provided we posted it on time, if it arrives late, that is absolutely not our fault (although that's one of the reasons we send it out early). We will of course try to make things right if this does happen however.

LATE RETURNS
It’s super important that you get your rental on its way back to us within 7 days of it arriving at your door. Other people may be scheduled in to hire the same items as you and that’s not fair on them. 

Late returns may be charged at the full rate for another hire period. If you know you’re not going to quite make the return window for some reason, let us know right away and we might be able to negotiate a lower rate. 

If you forget to send back an accessory, like a cable or a remote control, don’t worry. Late fees don’t apply to missing accessories. After we notify you that an accessory is missing, you have 5 days to return it before being charged the replacement value. Let us know that you mailed/returned it, and we will make sure you are not charged. (You can keep the sharpies and spare batteries if you like.)


DEPOSIT
You'll notice that we don't charge a deposit. We're taking a bit of a gamble here because it does open us up to abuse but we feel it's important to offer a service which makes life as simple as possible and removes as many barriers as possible. We're hoping you'll respect the fact that we trusted you to look after our things, and pay up if things go wrong. We have the legal right to pursue any additional payments in a more formal manner but we REALLY don't want to. Please done make us. 


REFUNDS POLICY
If the equipment experiences a substantial malfunction or does not arrive in time for you to use it at your event, you can have a full refund. 


NO HASSLE CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that plans change and you shouldn’t be punished for that.

Provided we’ve not already shipped your rental or printed your guestbook, you can cancel your order and receive a full refund. No excuse needed, your business is your own.

You should probably note that we generally print guestbooks pretty much right away to make sure we have them ready in time for your hire window. 


LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Liability of any kind is limited to the full refund of all money paid. 

There’s no scenario where we’re responsible for any damage or disruption to your event in the case of malfunction or late delivery.

FILM BUYBACK GUARANTEE
We will buy back any sealed film packs you don't use at £6.00 per pack (yea, it's less than you paid for them but it costs us money to process the payments, it still saves you money over having extras sitting around that you can't use, plus we need to pay the mortgage somehow). Just pop them back in the box and send them back along with everything else and we'll refund the total amount back to the card you paid with. For the record, we won't buy packs that we didn't send you or that we can't use again.
